Wisbech
The nearest Thai-trained therapist to Wisbech.
Wisbech has beauty salons, sports therapists and holistic rooms. What it does not have is anyone practising traditional Thai massage. That is a twenty-five minute drive, and it is this room.
What you cannot get in Wisbech
There is no shortage of good therapists in the Fens. What there is a shortage of is the Thai side of it: the herbal compress work, the assisted stretching, the pressure-line sequence that takes years to learn properly. Nida trained in Thailand and has been doing it for fifteen years.
The treatment worth making the drive for is the Thai herbal compress. Muslin bundles of lemongrass, kaffir lime, turmeric and camphor, steamed and pressed warm into the muscle. Almost nowhere in this part of England offers it, and it is the one clients describe to people rather than just recommend.
Getting here from Wisbech
East on the A1101 through Outwell and Upwell, then across to Downham Market and a mile north to Wimbotsham. Roughly twenty-five minutes with a clear run. The other way is up to King’s Lynn and down the A10, which is longer in miles but sometimes quicker in practice.
Free off-road parking directly outside. No high street, no ticket machine, no walking the last five minutes in the rain.
Worth knowing before you drive over
The room is open seven days until 20:30, which suits an after-work appointment better than most places manage. Book ahead: it is one therapist and one room, so there is no walking in on the off-chance. If you want something the same day, ring or send a WhatsApp — there is sometimes a gap.
