Before you book
For a Thai massage, no — you stay fully dressed in loose cotton clothes and there is no oil. For the oil treatments (relaxing, deep tissue, hot stone and herbal compress) undress to your underwear. That is what lets Nida work with oil directly on the skin, which is what a proper massage needs — through clothing she cannot do the job you came for. You are covered by a towel the whole time and only the part being worked on is uncovered, so you stay warm and covered throughout. Keep something on if you would rather; just know the treatment works better without.
Yes. Nida Thai Massage is a therapeutic massage practice. Every treatment on this site is a legitimate bodywork treatment, sessions are booked by name through Fresha, and the practice holds a five-star rating on Google from named local clients. No intimate or sexual services of any kind are offered or available, and any request for one ends the appointment.
If you have never had one, book the relaxing massage. If you have a specific area that has been tight for weeks, book deep tissue. If you feel the cold or find firm pressure too much, book hot stone. If you want to be stretched out rather than rubbed, book traditional Thai. And if you want the one people talk about afterwards, book the herbal compress.
Thirty minutes covers back, neck and shoulders. Sixty minutes is a full body treatment and is what most people book. Ninety minutes gives time to work properly on one area and still cover the rest, and it is the one to choose for the herbal compress.
Please book. It is one therapist and one room, so appointments are the only way to be sure of a slot. Booking goes through Fresha and confirms instantly. If you want something today, ring or send a WhatsApp — there is sometimes a gap.
On the day
Come in whatever you are comfortable in. For a Thai massage you will change into loose cotton clothes that are provided. For the oil treatments you will undress to your comfort under a towel.
Yes, free off-road parking directly outside. You are not circling a high street looking for a space before your appointment, which is more than most massage places in this part of Norfolk can say.
Something light an hour or two beforehand is ideal. A large meal immediately before is uncomfortable, and arriving hungry is not much better.
It should not. Deep tissue work can feel intense in a tight area, and there is a difference between pressure you can breathe through and pressure you are bracing against. Nida checks as she goes and adjusts. Say if it is too much — it is not a competition.
Afterwards
Drink plenty of water, keep the rest of the day gentle and avoid a heavy gym session. After a herbal compress, leave the shower until the evening so the herbs stay on your skin a while.
After deep tissue work, sometimes, in the way you might after a good stretch. It settles within a day. Warmth and water help.
It depends entirely on why you came. For general unwinding, once a month suits most people. If you have a physical job or a particular area that keeps tightening up, fortnightly for a while and then spacing out is more useful. Nida will tell you honestly if you do not need to come back as often as you think.
Booking and payment
Yes. Vouchers are bought through Fresha and can be used against any treatment. The couples massage is the most-gifted booking on the list.
Please give as much notice as you can. It is one therapist and one room, so a late cancellation is a slot that cannot be filled. Cancel or move your appointment through Fresha, or ring.
No. Every treatment happens at the room in Wimbotsham, which is set up properly for it — the right table, the steamer for the compresses, and the stone heater.
